Is it a bad Idea to mix a humanities major with a sciences minor?

I'm still in high school, grade 12, and next year I'm planning to head to a university and pursue a career in education. I'm going to go for a major in history and a minor in chemistry. Is this a bad idea, or just a bit unorthodox?
