Hello all,
As the title states, I recently graduated with my masters of arts in teaching. I was a little late to the party when it came to applying for jobs for the following year, but I nonetheless scheduled three interviews. Unfortunately, none of the interviewees were convinced of my abilities to such a degree to hire me on. This was disappointing because I know teaching is what I want to do. I think about it pretty consistently whether it's cool lesson plan ideas or the next book I want to read.
Anyway, the obstacle in my way is the interview. I know that these individuals are looking for certain types of answers that I'm not providing due to the masters program not preparing me enough for them. I've been purchasing books and reading them so that I can give more informed answers to the questions that I recorded after the interviews.
I appreciate any and all feedback.
My questions:
-
What can I do to nail an interview?
-
Conversely, what shouldn't I do?
-
What resources should I take advantage of that will directly increase my chances of having a successful interview?
-
Any other things that I'm not noticing/thinking about?
