This may be an over simplification or a dubious conclusion, so please correct me if I'm off base.
We all know the situation where a wealthy parent makes a big contribution to a college/ university so their child can get in. This money often goes to building or renovating a new structure. But that's not just a free building. The college/ university has to pay for the heating, water, electric, and cleaning on a continual basis, which then raises the money they need day-to-day, so they raise tuition slightly to compensate.
Is this a cause for why higher education costs and arm and a leg or am I correlating 2 unrelated things?
