Going to Tutoring in College

There is free tutoring through the SACC, but it is competitive as students would compete for tutors in a certain subjects. I started going there since the last semester, after realizing that the Financial Accounting class can be hard, even thought the professor is using powerpoints.

This semester, I went to tutoring for Managerial Accounting and Macroeconomics. The macroeconomics class is straightforward, so I go there once in a while. However, since the managerial accounting class is fully online, I am on my own. I find going to tutoring is better that listening to the powerpoint. The powerpoints are much more confusing that the tutor. The tutor, however, is available twice a week.

Tutoring is free as it is paid by tuition and by the state. This, according to microeconomics, is a common good as it is not excludable but rival, while private tutoring is a private good, where it is excludable but tutors are plentiful.
