Best way to start teaching fulltime?

I've been adjuncting for local colleges the last few years. Looking to teach either high school or even elementary ed for fulltime employment.

I was thinking it'd make me more marketable let to get a K-6 subject area cert. instead of specializing in one subject for high school, but I wanted to see some of your recommendations.
