My 5th grade student currently wants to be a politician when she gets older. But she said she does not know how to go about it. What would you tell a young person looking to get involved.

I told her to get involved, run for student council, volunteer with clubs etc...

There are many paths to the political world, lawyer, doctor, professor etc..

Any other I'm curious what others think.
