Writing for reassessment? Master Degree

Hi,

my gf just finished her master degree but unfortunately her scores is 0.01 away from Distinction, its really close so i want her to go for maybe reassessment or ask the teacher if there's any arrangement. we emailed the teacher but not heard anything back yet, do you guys have any similar experience? should we email the faculty ? if so any key words we need to specify?
