Meta-analysis suggests that "teachers' implicit attitudes are on average moderately biased in favor of non-marginalized groups.” (34 effects in 22 papers)

A recent (and open access, i.e., free) meta-analysis found that "teachers' implicit attitudes are on average moderately biased in favor of non-marginalized groups".

Questions:

  1. What kind of impact might this have on students?
  2. What kind of impact might this have on education more generally?
  3. What do teachers already do to correct this kind of bias?
  4. What can teachers do to better correct this kind of bias?
