What should I do

I’m an Icelandic student, I’m graduating in December with Stúdentspróf with above average grades and now I’m at a loss.

I’ve been going to school ever since kindergarten and now it’s about time to look for a university. I can go to a university in Iceland but I just want to leave here and go somewhere out of my comfort zone to force change into my life. Most universities cost an arm and a leg but schools in Denmark, Norway and Sweden are basically free and learning the languages couldn’t be too hard, and it would be easier to learn whilst living there

What I’m hoping to do is to take a break from school and work for probably until the first 2020 semester or the next, so will be working for about 9-12 months. Is this a good plan? I just can’t wrap my head around not going to school for about a year.

Can you guys help guide me towards my new chapter in life. I’m terrified.
