Hello! I'm a middle school math teacher who has been out of the game for a little while to have some kids and whatnot. During that time I've taken some classes to get my specialist in math education to get back into things, and I'm almost done:)
This is my last semester, and I have to do a capstone project and I don't have a class, so I can't do action research (which is what a lot of other people do).
I know what I want to study about, something along the lines of being fluid in operations with fractions, decimals and percents is the biggest determining factor in success of algebra (this is flexible).
But what type of projects can I do other than action research? Are case studies, surveys, or literature reviews appropriate for a capstone? I really need to get on this, we're halfway through the semester.
Thanks:)
