Need to clarify some Danielson questions

Recently had my summative evaluation and I disagree with some things that I'd like to verify with the community.

  • If I do not meet the contract language, am I automatically bumped down to "Needs Improvement (Basic)"?
    • I was late updating my grade book by ONE day and was told that this automatically bumped me from "Proficient" to "Needs Improvement (Basic)" in Domain 4b - Maintaining accurate records.
      • The contract language was believed to state the following: “Teachers will utilize software, including grade book software. In order to provide an accurate representation of student progress teachers must update student performance in their online grade book at least two (2) times every fifteen (15) student attendance days designated in the Board approved District calendar.”
      • The contract language the actually states the following:“Teachers will utilize software, including grade book software. In order to provide an accurate representation of student progress teachers must update student performance in their online grade book at least two (2) times every fifteen (15) days of the one hundred and eigthy (180) days of Teacher attendance designated in the Board approved District calendar.”
      • This difference in understanding, by my calculations, means that the greatest amount of time between two dates of grade entries is sixteen (16) days apart - one day more than what the contract describes. This difference only occurs because, during the aforementioned time frame, teachers attended day-long parent-teacher conferences followed by an institute day on the following day.

  • Can something like the above situation also cause other categories to be lowered? For example, Domain 4c - Communicating with families and Domain 4f - Showing professionalism.
    • My evaluator claims that the grade book is the main way we are to communicate with parents, despite my artifacts showing emails and an online calendar that describes every day's agenda and homework assignments.

  • My department instructional coach (IC) shared inaccurate information with my evaluator. How can I go about contesting her claims? Could I have members of my department, and/or members of other departments, sign something attesting to the fact that my IC's claims were not completely true?
    • One of the claims is that I spend too much time sharing resources with the department, when in reality all I do is forward along a weekly email I get from the respectable American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). This task may literally take me 30 seconds - at most. The issue is that my IC is not tech savvy and does not understand how easy such tasks are when you know what you're doing.

Also, my apologies if I applied the wrong flair, but I thought that this one was the most applicable.
