I work at a boarding school and the administration is working out contingency plans in the case of a viral outbreak in our city. I was asked to look into options for moving all of our coursework online so that if the school is forced to close its doors, our students will still have an opportunity to salvage their school year.
I'm looking to hear from teachers who have created a virtual classroom. What platform(s) did you use? Were there live tutorials/lessons? Were the lessons available on-demand for students?
I'm mostly concerned with video options, but would appreciate any feedback you can offer.
It's difficult to sift through the edu-marketing babble to get an idea about what all of these different services offer. I'm looking forward to hearing about positive and negative first hand experiences teachers have had with specific services.
