Hello everyone, I have a situation I think you all could help me out with.
This semester at school I'm taking an honors course (super interesting, but heavy courseload) and along with the weekly readings/assignments this week, my professors sent an email saying that a "short paper/presentation will be due after break" (next week) on one of the books we've been chipping away at.
I know at the end of the day it won't kill my classmates or myself to write this short paper over break, but my mind is going along the lines of believing spring break is a "mental-health must" and I don't think, even though it's an honors class, that we should have to do anything over break.
Firstly, I'm wondering what your opinion on this is. I'm wondering if I should just go along and do it and if I'm being perhaps too lazy by even thinking of proposing this or if you guys think there is merit to my argument.
Secondly, if you support my idea, I'm wondering if you know of any specific articles or statistics that I could include in an email to my professors when proposing this.
Any feedback is much appreciated!
I'm also thinking of emailing all my classmates in a group email (it's a small group of about 9 of us) and seeing what they think, but I wanted to take it to reddit first.
Also if you think another subreddit would be better, I'd appreciate some redirection as well!
Thank you again.
Edit: I'm in community college, if that helps.
