Have any of you ever read "Courageous Conversations About Race" by Glenn Singleton? What did you think about it?

Other q's I have for those that have read it (don't have to answer if you're not comfortable):

  • Are you a minority?
  • Do you work in a low SES Title 1 school?
  • Do you have a lot of minority students?
  • Do you think any of your coworkers or students have prejudices or are racist?
  • What do you think is the biggest reason for the achievement gap?
  • Is it something you think teachers can control?

I know this is a lot, but I am reading this because of a group I am a a part of at my school and it's making me quite curious about what the reddit educator's community at large thinks.
