I have a social studies education degree and special Ed endorsement and live in the suburbs outside of Chicago. I have applied to hundreds of schools over the past 6 years. Currently I am a para-educator at a school that definitely will not hire me. I have had only a handful of interviews with none being successful. I'm 28 now and I'm kinda at the point in my life where I should have the job I studied for in college all those years ago. There are people much younger than me getting jobs in a similar fields and much more quickly. I am pretty depressed about where I am at in life. So...do you think I should just cut my loses and find another career or should I stick with what I am doing now?
