Why College-based Textbooks are a Ripoff

In College, professors give you a code to purchase the textbook the college uses. These are cheaper than the original versions. Usually the college versions are $65 from the publisher's websites. Sometimes, the textbook are in loose-leaf version.

The looseleaf versions are a ripoff. You cannot resale them, making them a waste of money. If you purchase the original version, they can cost $125, which isn't affordable for college students.
