I.e. What's the point, do you think?
These Silicon Valley entrepreneurs have this notion that a college degree is increasingly worthless. It seems many college students spending less time discussing and struggling to understand things with their peers, and just learning skills and marketing themselves. This is especially true in STEM disciplines.
Obviously the Si Valley people are completely out of touch with what it means to be a teenager, and have forgotten what is learned in those formative experiences. But how do you combat this attitude? What are the best arguments for strong liberal arts education in light of these attitudes, which are backed by, in some sense, very prolific "success?" What do you think?
