Get out your crystal balls: What comes after the personalized learning era dies down?

So I think this is the community to agree that there is no one panacea to improving education.

Under Bush, we had accountability reforms with NCLB; accountability didn't work.

Under Obama, we had money thrown at the problem with RTTT; money didn't work.

Under Trump/DeVos, we're hearing a lot of rhetoric about personalized learning particularly through edtech; great, I'm sure it will help, but I have my doubts that it will be "the great education fixer"

And so, after personalized/individualized learning comes and goes, what's next? What's the next big wave of education trends?
