ELI5: What's the simplest way to Force the US Dept. of Education to make correct, helpful education policy decisions?

I have been a US public school teacher since 2004, and I am horrified at the policy decisions that have been made, and are being made. I feel term limits will work, I feel bloody revolution will work even better (even though the school shooters never say anything about POLICY!), to prove to "The 1%" that people are serious.
