Social science genomics research provides insight into a range of social behaviors and outcomes, including educational success. Research into the genetics of education may lead us to more effective, personalized education, or tell us more about the effects of different environments on similarly gifted individuals. There is no need to fear that these efforts will invite a new era of eugenics. Genetically informed research doesn't automatically lead to racism or classism. It's a tool that could be used for the benefit of our society.
