I've had a terrible start as a freshman. Not only were my teachers incredibly awful, subjective, and unhelpful, but the environment was very difficult to get used to. I hoped that my sophomore year would be somewhat better, and it was, but I couldn't make up for what I've missed in my freshman year. (Prereqs, grades, etc.)
So this is my Junior year schedule, it's a bit of a stretch for me as a person, and I am nervous. I was hoping I'd get a little insight, advice, and tips from students who have handled similar loads. Is it too much? Can it be done? How should my time management be?
- Study Hall
- Physics (Might drop this one)
- Precalculas
- AP Chemistry
- American Literature
- Global Politics
- IB Biology HL
- Strength and Conditioning
The reason I might drop physics is because it may be a bit too much for me, and it isn't a prerequisite I must have for AP Physics if I were to take it in my senior year. And I can self study physics in my next summer if needed.
Why am I taking IB Bio and not AP Bio? My regular biology teacher was probably the worst, harassed you as a student and didn't bother to help, grabbed online powerpoints and didn't know what she was talking about. Told you to shut up if you asked a question. She's awful, she got fired and deported from where I live last school year. That being said, I got an average 84% for biology, and the Prereq for AP Bio was 90% and my counselor couldn't help me out. IB Biology doesn't have a prerequisite and I didn't have to apply to the IB Program to take it, under one condition, I must take the HL and not the SL.
So... is this too much for me? How should I change my time management and methods to cope with this load?
Thanks!
