Academic plagiarism Allegations

hey so here I am at a community college this year enrolled in 4 courses trying to boost my GPA. Anyways in my history class, I recently submitted an assignment (NOTE** it was an assignment - not a quiz or exam.) & I do not know which one was noted being plagiarised. But, the problem I have is that I received an email from the school's administration regarding allegations of plagiarism brought forth by the community college's professor, who is my current history teacher. I thought he was a good guy I even emailed him at the start of the semester before classes began this fall wishing him well and it was a very pleasant response he gave back. Regardless I got the school jumping up my ass on a plagiarized assignment now, so I just wanted to throw this on reddit to ask for insight on what I should in response. I definitely know that I'm not at risk of being suspended or removed over one assignment that may indeed have had a slight amount of it's work plagiarized, I usually run anything I copy throw a site that changes the words with synonyms making it not plagiarized, but I guess the professor may have recognized something I may have taken from the course textbook or elsewhere (like I said they didn't fucking say which assignment it was they just said they have allegations.) So in response so far I've emailed this academic board woman several days after her email was received on my end. And I pretty much just said this exactly.

I hope this letter finds you well; I wish to sincerely apologize, for my delayed response to your email. Additionally, I ask for you’re forgiveness and understanding, with a request that our conference is scheduled next week. This Friday, I along with my family will be attending my grandfather's funeral ceremony. Monday would be the soonest time available, for me to join you at the conference. My mobile number is *fart*.

and ya oddly enough after I sent that email I got a call from a number I did not recognize, so I did not answer but I looked it up and the number was linked to the schools "Dir. Of Developmental Education." so then I looked up the job description of someone in a position such as that; I found out that they are just the "neighborhood patrol/watch volunteers." People with this job title just help maintain the rules established by the college. Regardless, after I received the call and let my phone ring a bit waiting for there to be a voicemail, the director of developmental education did not leave me a number. But I think the only reason someone like that called me is because of my failure to send an email reply to the first academic board woman.

Having read all of that, In conclusion, I just made this post asking for some input from ya'll on this college form. I'm surprised I got caught using shit because like I said I run it through a synonym changer site which makes it not plagiarised (apparently not that well.) going forward I'm just gonna do the shit, because honestly, it is not that difficult. And I know I am not at risk of being thrown out of a community college over one assignment containing work with words as synonyms of one another. Still, I just wanted to get some input or suggestions on what I should say in response to these allegations that were raised against me over the assignment. Its definitely not uncommon that students experience this problem & I know certainly that nothing detrimental, or life-threatening will happen to my college career as I am seeking to attend law school. So guys just don't try to scare me or spit a load of BS, Its 1 assignment allegedly plagiarized and as you can see in that email above that I sent in response to the allegations, my grandfather legit just passed which would indeed suggest outside factors at the time the assignment was submitted may have influenced my college work. I'm just planning for me to act apologetic, understanding, and grateful to have experienced this event now aware of the consequences vowing to never do it again. And if I act like that during this conference with the board woman I know I'll get zero on the assignment, or a lil bit of a reduction somewhere else but not a whole letter drop and definitely nothing that would end my college life. But ya if you read the bible I'm sure you managed to read this hopefully lol and ya just please be authentic and realistic in response to this post. I'm 21 and not a gullible 15yr old.
