Hi all, I got into a specialized high school which allowed me to earn 60 college credits, but I unfortunately didn’t do well and earned a low GPA (worst years of my life). In turn, I wasn’t able to get into a good college and accepted an offer to a random private college. I had to take a year off to work and then joined a community college afterwards since it’s free in my city (New York City). I had to take another year off to work and now I’m out of school and just feel so lost. I want to graduate with a bachelors degree in computer science (cyber security), I have a passion for computers and technology but I need some serious guidance, I just don’t know where to get it. At this point, I probably have about 60 credits that can apply to a BS in comp sci but I really need to get out of this community college. Problem is, no schools will take me as a transfer because I only did one semester there so far and my overall GPA is horrible. Is there any way to get into a good college that weighs less on my GPA (maybe an entrance exam)? I need to graduate as fast as possible in order to get an actual job and help my family. I’m willing to do whatever it takes to do well and graduate. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.
