In today's episode, Chance and I will discuss how to help students achieve a little more in their life by applying social-emotional learning into our current school system. During this episode, I talked about the importance of demonstrating self-management to students to help regulate their own emotions, how to manage everyday stress, and how to control their impulses. Social-Emotional Learning also known as SEL also teaches responsible decision-making and how to build healthy relationship skills that are needed in students’ everyday life. Social-emotional learning is not only to help during the Covid19 pandemic but to help students for the rest of their lives. The problems Chance and I discuss are how to bridge the gap between schools and communities to help students social and emotional skills in life.
