I'm doing a little experiment for my psychology class. Basically, I need to ask kids in different stages of development (in my case, one formal operational child and one concrete operational or younger) questions to demonstrate their ability to undertake abstract thinking. An example I was given in class was the "third eye test," wherein you ask someone where they'd put a third eye on their body. Younger kids are expected to say something like on their forehead, near their other eyes, meanwhile older kids might say their hand because they can think abstractly and recognise that they could put a third eye in different, useful places etc.
I need three questions like this in total. I feel that questions about politics, freedom and the like might be a bit too difficult because kids just don't know much about those topics.
Can anyone please give suggestions? :) Thanks
