I'm tired of learning about racism in school

Now, before I begin, I'm not saying that learning about racism or our past history is bad, or justifying racism itself.

What I'm saying is that in History (well, it's a no duh to learn about slaves, etc in history) but there's no mention of the Arab Slave trading, etc.

From Elementary to Senior year of highschool all we ever do in our English class is learn about racism against blacks. Discuss racism against blacks. Only read books about racism against blacks.

We never read other books or anything that is a different path. I'm not saying that that we shouldn't inform ourselves on our past as I said, but for about 6-8 years in schooling that's all we ever study about in classes where we should be reading classics or other books that are just as educational as the "this is here to promote diversity in our schools."

I'm just tired of discussing, reading, and thinking 24/7 in school about black racism. It's just something that I just begun to get annoyed with especially when the teacher and students begin to speak their political opinion about it.

I just want to read something different for once.
