I'm looking for anyone to give me an insight on how they go about formally documenting learnings that they take away from any media - that could be reading books, videos, formal classes (for e.g coursera) - so that they can recall it at a future moment.
For example, I've read 10 great books in the last year, with each of them having 2-10 key takeaways. While the main ones might stick in my mind, a majority of them are forgotten. I know it is impossible to memorize all of them.
However, I'd like to have a place that I can list them out, with contextual examples, and maybe a tag system so that it is easy to find.
For example, if it is something to do with 'negotiations', I tag it such, and can see all the learnings that are to do with it.
I've explored several knowledge-management platforms such as Wikis and Confluence, but those don't feel suitable.
I'm not sure if this is the right subreddit to post this, but I feel recall is a key part of 'education'
