Has there ever been a prospective cohort study looking at the economic outcomes of children attending state vs private school from similar (high) SES family backgrounds?

It sounds fairly niche, but it seems like it would be an elegant way to test to what extent private vs state education plays a causal role in later attainment, as opposed to simple correlation between private schooling and outcomes, which is confounded by parental SES.
