Hey /r/education, I'm a senior at UC Davis and I made an iPhone app that helps students stay on track with their coursework. It will send them reminders for upcoming assignments/exams and tell them what grade they need on it in order to get or maintain a certain letter grade in the class (e.g "You need an 88% on this in order to get an A in the class").
The app is called Grade Hound and its free for iPhone and iPad.
I'm curious what you guys think of it? Parents, is this something you'd encourage your kids to download? Teachers and school administrators, is this something you'd promote in your school?
The app has been around for awhile but largely has gone under-promoted. I spent the last couple of months on a massive redesign. Now that it's out, I'm trying to get the word out. I'd like to know the opinion of the professionals in the field. My market is largely high school and college students, though I've heard from parents it also works well for middle-schoolers.
Edit The app allows you to enter 2 classes for free. I'd be happy to send you a code to get the "pro" version for free and add unlimited classes.
