How can parents be of more use in the classroom

Dear educators,

Firstly thank you all for the work you do! A group of kindergarten parents and I joined our PTA to be more involved with our children's education. Our PTA does small fundraising and community events.

But, we want to do more! Our schools are rated poorly. How can we be of more assistance to teachers? What do you wish your parents contributed to their children's education?
