I'm trying to find a research article on students repeating a class in College / University. Help?

Hello all,

I'm trying to put together a report, but I'm having difficulty finding some resources that may be beneficial. My school offers a peer-led study group program for students who are either repeating the course or are in "near-passing" status (40-50% generally). I have found lots of research on how these types of study groups are beneficial for first time students in the course, however, I'm having trouble finding ANYTHING about repeat students.

Even searching for "At-Risk" only brings up articles usually based on the students' financial / minority status.

Has anybody come across any kind of quantitative research papers about repeating students at a College / University level?

Edit: I'm particularly interested in interventions / tutoring models for these repeating students and their effectiveness.
