How the do any of you think rushing someone is a good way to measure how well they understand the material?

I dropped out of the third best university in the U.S., another top ten school, and am about to drop out again. Why do people think time management is relevant to any humanities subject? It's not. If someone wants to turn an assignment in two months late, then you as educators shouldn't shame them. Who the fuck do you think you are? Your class is not important. I'm trying to learn, and I don't need your snarky comments about deadlines. If I wanted your feedback immediately, I'd turn the assignment in immediately. If I don't, I have more important things going on. Not every college age person needs to be a "good student" because often there is a trade off between being a good person/citizen and being a good student. If I want to show up to your class stoned out of my mind (something I would never do, since I don't smoke), I should be able to without any negative consequences. If someone asks you to take extra time on your exam, you should let them without demanding ADA documentation of a disability. If you ask to see their documentation, you belong on r/gatekeeping.
