How come schools tend to use their own low quality resources rather than higher quality and free ones?

I've seen countless times that a certain topic is presented by the school's own YouTube channel in a really poor edited video alongside a what you could call "generic explanation".

How come they don't use other channels to their aid? Kurzgesagt, OverSimplified, CGP Grey, and the most obvious ones like NatGeo, History, Discovery Channel and other channels have much higher quality, much higher entertainment and lighten the mood of the class if they just used them rather than spending on their own low budget videos.
