Do US teachers think the US Factory model is trying to educate citizens?

I have heard some harrowing reports that US public education is a set-up for failure and a system designed to create slaves/ perpetuate a slave race to do crap work. Certainly living in the US for the last 30 years and working in US Public education has definitely bore out this idea.

Do your teacher colleagues speak earnestly about education, like they think it's not a set up despite US Education Policy decisions for the last 30 years?

I am honestly NOT TROLLING, but I am cynical, and trying to get people to either wake or change my mind.

If it IS a set up, what should teachers teach students to do to fight the Corporations best?
