I've taught in a couple countries and have been teaching permanently in Canada for the past 3-4 years. My colleagues say that I'm generally a really chill guy that shows no stress. But I do get stress, and way the hell more than I thought I did.
Sometime over the last school year my dad commented on how my hair loss was very noticeable. I noticed it too when I shaved my head and saw my hairline was quite far back in the corner of my forehead. My hairline created a clear M shape like you see with many male baldness.
I've been off on summer holidays on a tour of China and Hong Kong, haven't slept well in over 3 week...but damn I am not thinking about school at all, and not worrying about marking tests, or planning my lessons for the week. Even running on very little sleep and bad sleep at that, I've noticed my hairline is trying to fight its way back! Where it was bald, there are now some baby stubble hairs! In just 3 weeks of no school some of my hair is trying to grow back!
Too bad it won't finish growing back before school starts and my hair starts falling out again.
TLDR: teaching is hella stressful. my hair is growing back when I'm of on summer vacation.
