I saw an email recently talking about motivation being related to expectations and value. Does anyone know anything about this, or how to apply it in teaching? If a student does not see value in what is being taught, then he or she won’t be motivated to do well. How do we show value to students who aren’t motivated by grades or intrinsic value?
