I am currently a HS English teacher have been chewing on the idea of getting my masters in linguistics. The idea is that many educators are lacking in this area. I would then like to be a coach or curriculum designer for what might actually be useful PD.
Teaching elementary teachers the role that linguistics play in language acquirement and reading skills. Teaching linguistics to ESL teachers so they have more tools to teach English.
Do you think this is viable or a waste of time?
