I'll tell you how I got to dislike school. Well, the first day of school was fine. But as days went on, I started disliking school. The teachers were harsh. I couldn't bring toys to school, and I couldn't wear my own clothes. It wasn't the studying that made it suck (thought it wasn't preferable) but rather, the way the school functioned in bringing the education to me. The work also piled like hell. School just eventually sucked and it did all the way till I finished schooling.
Some little things that made school kinda suck were:
- The dirty toilets
- The textbooks. Primary school textbooks were fine, they were colourful and cheerful. Secondary school textbooks were bland and boring, in comparison, but not the good kind(plain but pretty fonts/page color-texture), but the bad kind, the colours used are ugly and there's seemingly so much text that it just overwhelmed me and made me disinterested in looking at the text. There were exceptions, science and business and economy text books are good. not as nice as I'd like to be to be but passable, still.
During the last 2 schooling years of mine, I've learned to avoid the toilet and appreciate some subjects. The work load isn't too bad too, particularly because I've figured out how to quickly finish my assignments. But before school actually starts, you gotta stand in the hall before the teacher gives some announcements, that was tiring and boring. And I had lots of downtime. I should've borrowed some books from the library to read in those times, the library had some books. But then again the teachers would not have let me read my own books, I tried to, they wanted me to focus on their work but I've already done their assignments, they could've also tested me on it and I would have been able to answer at least 70% of the questions from memory. Maths was also boring, and this time I didn't do any assignment but it's only because I was totally weak and literally, in special need of help, but everyone seemed preoccupied, which was fair, maths is not easy, but what it meant for me was more downtime, more boredom, which partly made school sucked like hell. I also finished exams and tests really quickly, but I was forced to stay in the classroom anyways, which again was completely boring. I could've checked my answers again but experience tells me doing it once is enough.
