Schools need to stop glorifying the Atlantic trade

Coming from a white man who supports minorities in their struggle for the freedom and liberties they deserve the time is now to stop glorifying Atlantic trade routes as a good thing that “diversified flora and fauna around the world”. Congratulations, you gave europe potatoes beans and tobacco, but you’ve given African Americans 400 years of peril. Obviously, slavery is touched on in education, but there isn’t negative enough connotation put into the curriculum surrounding it. Teachers need to come out and say that it is bad. They need to come out and denounce white supremacy. They need to denounce the confederates. The African American populous deserves this. Leave racism behind!
