Why do kids hate math?

Abstract thinking is the ability to understand concepts that are real, such as freedom or vulnerability, but which are not directly tied to concrete physical objects and experiences.

According to Swiss Psychologist Jean Piaget, the use of symbols to relate to and grasp abstract concepts and relationships and make hypotheses starts at the age of 12.

It might be hard for kids to understand abstract concepts at an early age. The best way to help children improve their abstract thinking is to connect math to real-life scenarios. This is one of the many things that might cause students to hate math. If you think your kid is having problem with math, or he/she might need help with improving his/her abstract thinking skills, I can help. I have tutored in math for 3 years and am willing to help your child. Please call me at (213) 5O9-7O17. Together, we can help your kid improve at math.

Thank you.
