Grading Policies and closing loopholes

New to Reddit, but not teaching. I have been fine tuning how I grade year after year and really dig the system I’ve built for myself with student feedback. I found a silver lining to virtual teaching in that it’s given me time to focus on my programming skills and understanding how my students operate in an atypical learning environment.

I’ve been curious to ask and finally have the courage to do so — what are some aspects of grading that you e improved upon hover the past 2 years? Would you mind sharing your policy, philosophy, or leave a comment?

Isolation has been good and bad for my process, so I’m looking to gain some new ideas, verify some of my own, and continue discussions on what we can do for our virtual students. Thanks all!
