I am trying to shift from adult EAL instruction/programming to adult basic education, literacy in particular, and I have an interview I'm very excited about!
I feel fairly confident and well-versed, but I'm wondering if anyone is feeling generous and wants to suggest some talking points that may come up to be prepared for, and some important points I should aim to make, and any blind spots I might have with more experience in second language learning than first language literacy. Any recommended articles? (Yes, I have been googling.)
I can speak to what makes adult literacy and learning different than children's, my own understanding of what literacy means/can mean, best practices in teaching/tutoring, I'm refreshing my knowledge of assessment methods...
Any tips appreciated!
