Let me preface this by stating that I am not an educator, just someone currently interested in the general thoughts on this piece of literature. As I have been reading through the Harvard collection, I have reached The Tractate of Education by Milton. After finishing it, I was wondering what the current thoughts of it were and how we have changed. That said, here are my questions:
- What are your overall thoughts on Milton's tractate?
- How does his ideas on education influence the current day?
- What needs improvements in his understanding of education?
- What do you think he got right?
- Would you recommend this as a way for schools to operate, if so what parts would you include or remove.
