i was born in latvia but came to the uk as a baby. i got raised there and lived there ever since. now im 14, and i really hate living in the uk. i visit latvia very regularly and it feels homely to me. my mum proposed to me recently that i can move to latvia with my grandma who already lives there when i finish school (year 11), but since the school system is different there she said id have to sit 11th or/and 12th grade in latvia. when my dad found out about the idea, he said that i would be put into 9th grade because in latvia, apparently, you go straight to uni after you finish school rather than the 2 years of sixth form in the uk so id be put 2 years back in school. he also said if i went to latvia and sat a few years of school there since i only have 2 years to learn the latvian language, my native is russian, before i supposedly can go back to latvia that i wouldnt pass any exams there and end up homeless or something like that. would this move really ruin my future jobs?
