Are we really just going to sit around waiting for our so called leaders to make the call? I am of a mind to start this from the bottom up. We are the ones who teach the kids. We are the ones minding the kids. Let's at least give them one day where we show the politicians where the power really is. Talk me down if you can.

edit: I also realize that some teachers are in situations where this would be a huge professional risk - doesn't that put the responsibility on the rest of us to take action?
