So I just opened a letter from the community college I'm attending. It's telling me I'm a prospective member for Phi Theta Kappa and that I qualified due to my high academic achievement. It says there is a lifetime fee of $80.00 and that once paid and inducted it opens the doors for me to have scholarship opportunities and others. Has anyone else received this kind of thing before, is it worth the $80.00 (might seem silly that I ask that but I am genuinely curious), will a major university actually care about this when I transfer or no?
