What university course would this fall under?

So I've basically planned my life arround my brother, just doing what course he did, (general computing science) but I've had a sudden change of heart and I want to do something more practical. I've been trying look for a course that's has the more practical aspects of computing i.e the inside, building parts etc but I don't know what the name of the course would be.
