I have been thinking about taking a gap year, but it feels some what redundant to me. (If it helps I am thinking of taking a computing degree in the future.) After my A levels, I suspect I would quickly start to forget everything in a short span of four months, let alone a year. During that time I can imagine gaining experience from tech related jobs, but I still feel like I would need my A level maths and computing knowledge retained for university. What worries me most is not being able to get a hold of a solid job comfortable for those taking a gap year, especially since my town isn't very plentiful with a variety of jobs.
If it's not too much to ask, I mainly just want to hear what others who have gone through each scenario have experienced. If you have any wisdom or valid points that might sway me, please comment. :)
