Non-teaching education/curriculum jobs and pay

I’m finding as I look toward my sixth year of teaching that this will not be a sustainable profession for me. The reasons are the same reasons most people leave teaching: insufficient pay, long work hours, burnout. I want to get involved in curriculum, as a curriculum director or planner at a school. However, I need to know this move will solve some of these problems. Others who have done this, what was your experience? Also (and maybe more importantly) what level of pay can I expect with a masters in Ed and 6 years of teaching experience?
