Is OpenLearn actually useful?

Not sure if this is in the right sub-

Has anyone actually found any of the courses on Open Learn useful, when applying for new jobs? I know if you wanted to become an accountant for example, then a free course isn't going to get you there. But anyone found the courses useful when going for other internal jobs in a company they work for, for example?

I'm looking at the business/finance sector courses as that's the sector I work in, at the moment and didn't know if the courses were any good/useful?
